Located in the thriving community of Evanston and coming soon to a new location in Norwood Park, Ignite is an innovative, small and flexible licensed Adult Learning Program designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities pursue and achieve their personal goals and actively participate in community life.
AT A GLANCE
Ignite operates Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Both full-time and part-time options are available.
Small group setting co-located with a workplace readiness and training program.
Dynamic mix of classroom instruction, individual supports, and community-based experiences.
Access to employment services and therapeutic supports.
Access to technology and hands-on training to support its use.
KEY PROGRAM COMPONENTS
Engage in daily task mapping, transportation planning, outing evaluations and daily reflection to increase personal responsibility.
Work on personal goals, participate in curriculum-based learning and access on-site therapy, counseling and job coaching.
Fitness and wellness, community-based experiences (including volunteer and other activities) and visual arts classes are incorporated into the weekly schedule to offer a well-rounded array of services and supports.
