Please join us on Thursday, May 17th for SEARCH TRAILBLAZERS 2018: Celebrating 50 Years of Service at Galleria Marchetti in Chicago. This exciting evening will celebrate Search, Inc.’s 50th anniversary of providing essential services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and will honor our champions in this work. Guests will enjoy cocktails, fun foods, delicious desserts, awards, and a silent auction. A hidden gem in the heart of the city, Galleria Marchetti blends European charm and magnificent spaces for a truly distinguished experience.

We are thrilled to honor Tina Zemen, Visibility Arts Program Manager at Search Inc.Alan Nadolna, CEO of The Associates Group and Janet Stover, Retiring President and CEO of IARF with the 2018 Trailblazer Award.

Tina Zemen has blazed a path by creating and sustaining Search's immersive visual arts program. During Tina's 18 year tenure at Search, Visibility Arts has grown from serving a handful of people to over 150 individuals.  In the words of a colleague:  "Tina has created ways for people to express themselves, to deal with positive  and negative emotions, to earn money from their expression and  to appreciate beauty in the world."

Alan Nadolna has spent over 30 years championing the interests of individuals with disabilities through his involvement with Search, Inc. As Chair of the Board of Directors, Alan has provided exceptional leadership with fundraising, board development and governance. His important contributions have guided the agency on a continuous path of growth and stability.

In her role as President and CEO of the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF), Janet has overseen the growth and development of the Association into Illinois’ most influential and effective statewide advocacy organization on behalf of agencies that support individuals with developmental disabilities. It is our pleasure to honor Janet in her year of retirement, after 42 years of service with IARF.

All proceeds from SEARCH TRAILBLAZERS 2018 will support the essential services of Search, Inc. Search is a community-based non-profit that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential, accept a valued role in their community and lead rich, rewarding lives. We provide high quality, person centered services including supported living arrangements, adult learning programs and career services, as well as medical, behavioral and therapeutic services. Our programs serve more than 500 people and their families annually at locations throughout the Chicagoland area.
