Q&A with Mary

Mary lives at one of Search's Supported Living Homes and previously worked in Search's Planet Access Company (PAC) Warehouse. There, Mary gained important training and experience that she was able to leverage to seek competitive employment in the community. This winter, Search helped Mary find a new job working at the GAP!

 

Q: What do you like about your job?

A: "Everything!"

Q: What is different for you now that you have a job?

A: "My attitude. I feel more happy."

Q: Why is it important for you to have a job?

A: "To make money and to buy stuff."

Q: Why is it important for businesses to hire people with disabilities?

A: "Because I'm funny. Because we are happy and we do what we are supposed to do."

Q: Tell me about yourself. What do you do outside of work?

A: "I like to go for walks, go to Target, spend time with my friends, and watch movies."

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

A: "I like to see my mother and sister."
